National Wine and our Birthday, a Perfect Pairing!
In 2019 the stars will align to make National Wine Day and our Ninth Birthday both end up on May 25th!
While marked on calendars all over the Internet, there seems to be no known origin of National Wine Day. There is historical information that shows that America’s first wines were made from Muscadine grapes in Jacksonville, Florida, in the 1500s. Over several centuries Americans have perfected their technology for growing grapes and making wine.
While we don’t know how National Wine Day began, we do know when we opened!! It is hard to believe that this year marks our Ninth birthday! It seems just like yesterday we were opening our doors for the first time.
One unanticipated outcome of our nine years is the fact that we have gotten to be a part of special occasions for so many of our guests. To create a place where people want to come celebrate their birthdays, showers, weddings, engagements and more has truly been a blessing. It is amazing to see those who have gotten married here come back with their kids!
This year, we are celebrating this momentous occasion three different ways! First, we have our Annual Birthday Bash concert complete with birthday cake. This year’s band is Front Page News! Second, we will have our annual Joe’s Wine Sale, where all of our Joe’s wines are 20% off on May 25 and 26. Finally, we added a Signature Pairing in honor of National Wine Day, available from 11am-5pm or while supplies last on Saturday., May 25th. What could be better than a wine and cake pairing to celebrate the day?
We hope that you will be able to join us this year and to commemorate National Wine Day and our Ninth Birthday!
