The Results are in! Layton’s Receives Two Silver Medals
Entering the 2015 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition marked the first time Layton’s entered a competition outside of Maryland. We were interested in seeing how we would fare against broader competition. Here are some statistic of this years competition:
Wines entered: 3,708
Countries entered: 27
States entered: All 50
Canadian Provinces entered: 6
We are happy to report William received silver medals on our new Reserve Traminette and Farm Red. He also received bronze medals for Watermelon, Norton Reserve and the 2013 Vidal Blanc! The 2013 Vidal Blanc is a vintage that we have not yet released here at the winery. It marks the first white wine we have oaked, making it a little more similar to a Chardonnay. Congrats, William!!
